Coco Gubbels (The Netherlands) is a freelance project manager in investigative journalism.
She manages national and international teams, where she focuses on the growing demand for project management in (cross-border) investigative journalism. She has knowledge and experience in both fields and can bring techniques and tools to journalism that add value in today's media developments.
She combines her experience in cross-border projects and international collaborations with ten years' experience in freelance investigative journalism and a degree in cultural anthropology.
Gubbels mentored cross-border investigative teams for Journalismfund, Fonds Bijzondere Journalistieke Projecten and FreePressUnlimited, is a trainer at the International Research Journalism School, and a board member of VVOJ, the Dutch-Flemish Association for Investigative Journalism.
