investigations reporter at The BMJ (British Medical Journal) and leader of “
Follow the Grant”, a multi-year data driven project on investigating conflicts of interest as well as other
issues of research integrity.
Hristio has received numerous awards for his work, among them the „
European Science Journalist of the Year“ prize by the European Federation for Science Journalism. Hristio has worked for the German investigative non-profit Correctiv and the Science Media Center Germany and has published with The Economist, Nature, Science, Buzzfeed News Germany, the Spiegel as well as German public TV, where an investigation has gathered more than
4.5 million views on Youtube.
